Work Experience
Cape Arial Telepresence
Drone Technician
Summer of 2016
After my junior in high school, I worked at the drone technology startup company Cape Ariel Telepresense based in Redwood City, CA. I was by far the youngest employee on staff by about 15 years but was trusted to fly drones that were individually more than three times more expensive than my car at the time. I was in charge of a fleet of more than 20 drones which I used to test the various innovations made by the software engineering team. My role was the put the drones and the software through extensive stress tests and document any issues that occurred. I was always in close communication with the engineering team such that I had some input on the changes being made. I also had to keep up with a fast paced startup environment. My other responsibilities included managing and running demos for customers and alpha testing of the company's product. In my spare time, I was fixing drones that had crashed or stopped working for unknown reasons.
Drone Tech and International Business DevelopmentSummer of 2017
I was rehired at Cape Ariel Telepresence because I was able to work so efficiently and reliably the previous summer. I was hired over recent college graduates with more relevant experience as they believed my work ethic was superior. My responsibilities included everything from the previous summer as well as researching and presenting international drone laws to facilitate the company's contracts with foreign companies.

Leading Edge Tutors
2018-2019
During the school year, I worked part time as a private tutor for math and physics. My clients were high school and college students who I helped with classes ranging from AP Calculus to college physics courses for physics majors at UC Santa Barbara. This helped me gain a deeper understanding of the subjects and improved my communication and planning skills. Because of my background in tutoring, I have become proficient at breaking down and explaining complex topics for anyone to understand.

Varial Surf Technology
2020-2021
Instead of settling for a subpar online education for my senior year at UCSB, I decided to take the year off of school and pursue a full time job at Varial. The surf company is revolutionizing the surfboard industry like SpaceX is revolutionizing the aerospace industry (a fitting analogy seeing that one of the founders worked as a SpaceX engineer). I combined my love of engineering and surfing by using aerospace grade composites and manufacturing techniques to construct the highest quality surfboards on the market. I was able to quickly learn completely new skills such as hot coating and sanding on the job.
